Dear Doctor Who,
I still love you, but… please stop introducing a concept because you think it’s cool and then breaking the rules of that concept halfway through the episode because they’re suddenly inconvenient.
Thanks,
Me

If the Doctor’s name is actually revealed and they don’t cop out somehow, I will be disappointed unless the following happens:
TEN (to the companions): “WELL, if you MUST know… my name is unpronounceable to most lifeforms. But in English it roughly translates to William.”
ELEVEN: “I was going to tell them! Eventually…”
1. It would allow for the continued mystery of the Gallifreyan pronunciation while still being a reveal.
2. It would be a reference to the first Doctor, William Hartnell.
3. William comes from Willahelm which is is derived from the elements wil which means will or desire and helm which means helmet or protection. So, basically, “Desire to protect.”
So, yeah… I vote for William.
